The Vox: Probation

Most of us know what probation is. We may link it to time given to a prisoner who has been on their p’s and q’s and are deemed in the eyes of the prison ward admin body, worthy to be placed in the world with careful eyes watching. However in regards to the spiritual being, we are all on probation period with God. We know that our probation closes when we die. However my question is: WHERE DID THE CONCEPT OF OUR PROBATION CLOSING BEFORE WE DIE COME FROM?
